Signing a matriculation book when students begin their studies is part of a joyful service still practiced at many seminaries and colleges. This ceremony had of course been performed at our antecedent seminaries, Bexley Hall and Seabury-Western. After Bexley Seabury Seminary was born, a new Matriculation Book was created and added to those that came before, with all being safely stored between ceremonies in a Treasure Chest, as a new tradition was born, ritualizing the joining of the past to the future!
